Vivian Sisskin is a Clinical Professor Emerita at the University of Maryland (USA), an ASHA Fellow, and a Board-Certified Specialist in Fluency Disorders. She received ASHA’s Media Champion Award for work in promoting public awareness of stuttering. She was named Speech-Language Pathologist of the Year by the National Stuttering Association. She and her associates created the YouTube Channel “Open Stutter” – a resource for acceptance and change for stutterers and their allies. Sisskin presents nationally and internationally on Avoidance Reduction Therapy for Stuttering (ARTS®), group therapy dynamics, and disfluency is autism. She directs the Sisskin Stuttering Center (USA).
